The Maison

A Roman house. Born 1975.

Fifty years of Italian craftsmanship. One family. One line, carried forward.

Rome

Roma

Origins.

De Leville was founded in Rome in 1975 by Eliau Labi, at Piazza Esquilino 10. From the beginning, the maison was devoted to objects of beauty — leather goods and accessories shaped by Italian craftsmanship, finished by hand, built to be kept.

The name above the door was his. The script he drew that year has never been redrawn. It is the same line you see today.

He believed that objects of beauty hold the power to carry memory. He wanted a house that could sit quietly beside Cartier, Hermès and Bulgari — not louder, not larger, simply as certain.

He worked with his hands, through his children's hands — drawing, commissioning, supervising — until he could no longer. In the 1990s the atelier fell quiet. The drawings went into a folder. The line was never broken. It was only waiting.

Before he passed, at home in Rome, he turned to his wife Simcha and said five words. She carried them for years, and then she gave them to his grandson — named for him, Eliau.

"I see De Leville going up, and up, and up."

— Eliau Labi · his last words, to his wife Simcha

Dreams become real when acted upon. What he had drawn was never small — and the house he began was never meant to end.

The Maison today.

De Leville is led today by Eliau Piha — grandson of the founder, named after him. The maison has returned to its work: objects of timeless elegance, made by hand, made to order, made to be kept.

The line his grandfather drew in 1975 has become the jewelry itself. The Classico is his motif, cut through 18-karat gold. The Incontro is two halves of his signature, meeting. The Mezza Luna is the curve of a letter he drew, made into a ring.

You are not wearing a ring. You are wearing something he wrote in 1975.

Every piece is finished by hand and numbered. Each arrives with a Digital Soul — a blockchain-authenticated certificate of origin, ownership and provenance. A permanent record of the object, and of the hand that made it.

Heritage.

Fifty years of artisanal craftsmanship sit behind every piece. The devotion to Italian craftsmanship that began at Piazza Esquilino 10 continues today from our atelier in New York — the same standard, the same hand, the same line.

Rome gave us the drawing. New York carries it forward.

A legacy is not a story told once. It is a line that keeps being drawn.

Thank you for carrying it forward.
